Shipping Containers in Bacchus Marsh, Ballarat and Western Victoria

Commercial Containers Australia sells, hires and delivers new, used and refurbished shipping containers throughout western and central Victoria – from Bacchus Marsh and Melton out through Ballarat, Bendigo and the Wimmera, as far as Horsham, Mildura and the South Australian border.

Containers are dispatched from our Tottenham yard in Melbourne’s west, which puts most of this region within a straightforward run up the Western Freeway or the Calder. Typical delivery is 3 to 5 days from order, and we can often move faster when the schedule allows.

Getting shipping containers onto your property in western Victoria

Much of this region is farmland, building sites and semi-rural blocks, so access is usually straightforward – but it is worth checking a few things before delivery day.

Access. A tilt tray needs clear straight-line access of roughly twice the length of the container, plus room to bring the truck in and out. Watch for overhead power lines, low branches, narrow gates and soft ground. Where access is tight, a side loader or crane may suit better.

Ground. The ground should be reasonably level and firm. A container carries its weight on its four corner castings, so uneven or soft ground can twist the frame and make the doors hard to open. Compacted gravel, concrete or hardstand is ideal, and timber chocks can be supplied on request. Our experienced administration staff and drivers will happily assist and guide you if you have any concerns about ground suitability, and guidance on levelling can be provided at the point of delivery.

Wet weather. Unsealed driveways and paddock access can become difficult for a loaded truck after heavy rain. If in doubt, give us a call and we will work out the timing with you.
