Shipping Containers in Warragul, Traralgon and Gippsland

Commercial Containers Australia sells, hires and delivers new, used and refurbished shipping containers throughout Gippsland – from Warragul and Drouin through the Latrobe Valley to Sale and Bairnsdale, and out along the coast as far as Cann River.

Containers are dispatched from our Tottenham yard and run straight down the Princes Highway. Typical delivery is 3 to 5 days from order, and we handle the longer runs east regularly.

Getting shipping containers onto your property in Gippsland

Gippsland is dairy country, bush blocks and coastal townships, and it gets more rain than most of the state. Ground conditions matter here more than anywhere else we deliver.

Access. A tilt tray needs clear straight-line access of roughly twice the length of the container, plus room to bring the truck in and out. Bush blocks often have long, narrow driveways with overhanging branches, and dairy properties can have tight yard access around sheds. Where access is difficult, a side loader or crane may suit better.

Ground. The ground should be reasonably level and firm. A container carries its weight on its four corner castings, so uneven or soft ground can twist the frame and make the doors hard to open. Compacted gravel, concrete or hardstand is ideal, and timber chocks can be supplied on request. Our administration staff and drivers will happily guide you if you have any concerns about ground suitability.

Wet ground. This is the big one in Gippsland. Unsealed driveways and paddock access that carry a car will not always carry a loaded truck after sustained rain, and a bogged delivery helps nobody. Talk to us about timing if the ground is soft – it is usually better to wait a few days than to attempt it.
