Shipping Containers in Wangaratta, Shepparton and North East Victoria

Much of the north east is irrigation country, orchards, vineyards and grazing land, so access is usually generous – but farm gates and paddock tracks bring their own considerations.

Access. A tilt tray needs clear straight-line access of roughly twice the length of the container, plus room to bring the truck in and out. On rural properties the usual obstacles are farm gates too narrow for a loaded truck, low branches along driveways, and irrigation channels or culverts that will not take the weight. Where access is tight, a side loader or crane may suit better.

Ground. The ground should be reasonably level and firm. A container carries its weight on its four corner castings, so uneven or soft ground can twist the frame and make the doors hard to open. Compacted gravel, concrete or hardstand is ideal, and timber chocks can be supplied on request. Our administration staff and drivers will happily guide you if you have any concerns about ground suitability.

Irrigation and wet ground. Recently irrigated paddocks and channel crossings can be soft even in dry weather. If the delivery point is off a made road, give us a call and we will work out the best approach with you.
